In 1998, after the completion of Resident Evil 2, preliminary work on a PlayStation 2 installment of the Resident Evil series began under the direction of Hideki Kamiya, under the name "Team Little Devil". Early research and development work included a trip to Spain to examine various castles as a basis for the game's environments. However, in prototype status, it proved to be a radical departure from the established Resident Evil formula and the survival horror genre in general. Rather than abandon the project entirely, the premise was changed and it eventually became Devil May Cry .
Over the years the game has gotten better than the previous with more missions , new rivals , and new fighting styles like trickster which allows you to do amazing stunts and acrobats in the game . Another good fighting style that is on the latest game is gunslinger and sword master . Gunslinger allows you to do what they cant do in today’s fighting or shooting games like shoot from different directions with any direction of the control pad . You can even change guns with one button instead of going to the menu and wasting time.
The main character is Dante a half demon and half human who is the legend offspring of Sparda the legendary knight . Even thought Dante is a loose cannon who likes to have fun he always gets into trouble which makes the game even better the more trouble the more fun you have playing . Dante runs into enimes like Lady, Trish , Nero , and Vergil his older brother .
Vergil looks identical to Dante in hair and facial features however, Vergil has his hair swept back instead of brushed down like Dante, presumably to resemble his father and to distinguish himself from his brother. As for clothing, Vergil predominately wears shades of blue as opposed to Dante's red. What is interesting is that Sparda himself seemingly wore purple as his trademark color and his sons, Dante and Vergil, wore red and blue respectively; the two colors combining to create purple. Vergil's personality is almost the complete opposite of Dante's personality. Even though they are twin brothers, Vergil is calm, cool, and collected. He is quiet and prefers swords over guns any day which is pretty cool if I must say so myself .
Through out the game Dante ends up teaming up with most of the enemies which makes the game storyline better in the later sagas . The game is a great game to play and the storyline is amazing and it fits every situation and story through the sagas .
The latest game of the dmc saga is devil may cry 4 which is on every gaming console such as Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. This latest game switches off character like Dante and Nero With different styles and different storyline that add up and make sense through out the game . I must say that this game is worth the money and the time playing it . I honestly think Capcom did a amazing job on this project . Look out for later projects with Devil May Cry and Capcom .
